Draft of letter to the New York State Legislature, requesting an extension on its incorporation charter. Letter states that the company would have to stop operations at Wood Creek if the extension is not approved, but if it had the extra time, it could continue work to Seneca Lake and Lake Ontario. Contained also is a request for the Legislature to take steps to remove settlers from lands previously granted for canal use. Handwriting is that of Philip Schuyler, though document does not bear his name.

The 332nd Infantry Regiment was part of the 83rd Division, which was deployed overseas in June 1918. After training in France the regiment was detached for service as army and corps troops, and on July 25 it moved, with the 331st Field Hospital, to Villafranca, Custoza, and Sommacompagna, Italy.
